Number of Pages Indexed:

Number of Pages Indexed tool by SelfSEO allows you to check the total number of pages that has been indexed by the search engines. It supports all major search engines: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Alltheweb, Hotbot and AltaVista.

Some Tips to get your website indexed quickly in the Search Engine:

1. Site structure

First step is to make sure that your sub-pages are easily accessible by the search engine crawlers. Try creating a sitemap page that links to all pages of your website and place a link of the sitemap in your homepage. If you have a large website, break the sitemap up in several parts and keep the total link number under 100 per page. Link from your homepage to deep pages to get them indexed and crawled faster.

2. No session IDs

Try to get rid of session IDs on your pages. Crawlers would rarely index pages with a session IDs because they think that those are different pages (because of the different IDs) with the same content. [Duplicate content issue]

3. No variables in the URLs

Avoid using variables in your site URL. They are indexed slowly and often gets no no PageRank. Use Apache’s mod_rewrite feature to convert your dynamic pages to static. Redirect all old pages to the new ones with a 301 redirect. Note however that if you do that for your established website, search engines will need some time to crawl the new static pages.

4. Build Links

Inbound (incoming) links are half of the SEO battle nowadays. Your website needs links from quality, on topic websites. The higher your Trustrank is the faster and deeper your website will be crawled by bots. Get links not only to your home page, but also to the deep pages. Make sure the spiders can find your site from different places.

5. Produce Content with a Consistency

Try to produce content with a consistency. Make a plan of how many times on a week/day you will update your site. Try pushing the new content on the top of your site so that they can be seen by the Search Engine more easily.

Link popularity checker:

Link Popularity ToolThe link popularity (the amount of incoming links that is coming to a website) is one of the most important factors for achieving top rankings in search engines. The more quality links you can get the better it is for your SEO campaign.

With this Link Popularity SEO Tool you will be able to check the link popularity for any given website – just enter the URL in the form and you will see how many links has been already “noticed” by the major search engines – Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, Alltheweb & Hotbot.

Here are some tips to improve your link popularity:

1. Submit to the major link directories

Google seems to add ‘extra’ weight to the sites that are currently listed in DMOZ and Yahoo directories. If your site will be accepted in DMOZ, soon it will appear in the Google directory and in hundreds of DMOZ clones out there. If you’ve got budget, submit your site to the Yahoo directory. If you don’t have the budget, try the free submission (don’t expect too much though). For non-commercial sites a submission to Zeal.com could be worth the time you need to understand their strict submission guidelines.

2. Submit to Free directories

Almost every topic on the web has a directory that accept free submissions. Submit your site to related free directories. Do a search on your favorite search engine for “yourkeyword directory”, “yourkeyword links” etc. Check out Free Web Directory List compiled by SEOcompany.

3. Link exchanges

Link exchanges may not be as effective as the natural one way links to your website. Look around in the Google directory for your keywords. You will find a lot of sites with link pages that do link exchanges with other sites. Simply ask for a link swap. A non-templated personal message can do the trick. A search for “yourkeyword add url”, “yourkeyword submit site” etc will pop up hundreds of websites to exchange links with.

4. Give importance to Link Quality

Quality is always better than quantity. Give particular attention to Link quality than quantity. On topic & related links work best. Don’t waste your time by submitting your site to FFA pages and by spamming guestbooks and forums – this is not a long term solution and those links seems to count less and less as time goes by.

5. Write Quality Content or Go for a Link bait

Write quality content for your website. Provide some free services that everyone would love. Work really hard and with passion and you will wonder how many people will link to you. Not because of the link exchanges or PR, but because they like your website. If your content is ‘link worthy’ people will definitely link to you without a question.

Some Basic Keyword Suggestion Tips:

Choosing the right keywords is really crucial for a success of your online business. If you target the wrong keywords it will be really hard for you to get targeted traffic that you desire from the search engines. There is pure gold hidden in less competitive keyword combinations and variations. Here are some of the basic keyword suggestion tips for your website:

1. The First step is to start your keyword research with more general terms. Let’s say your website is about widgets. Type in “widgests” into our keyword suggestion box and study the results. Write down all results that are somehow relevant for your niche.

2. The next step is to start digging for more specific keywords. Based on the list you have just created, do a search for every keyword combination (let’s say “red widget”, “discount widget” and so on) and write down the new keyword combinations. It makes no sense to search for those new terms as you would not get anything new.

3. Now think about synonyms that people might search for like “buy widgets” and “purchase widgets”. Do a keyword research for them too.

4. Now you should have a decent list of relevant keywords in your hand. Try to Optimize your pages for the selected keywords. Create new pages optimized for the missing keyword combinations and link to them from your existing pages.

5. If you are really serious about keyword research, we suggest you to sign up for Keyword Discovery. You will be able to search their huge database of terms that people search for. Here are just some of their advantages:
